The Pidta is very rare because they were made by hand each by each in a small number. Their backside were engraved by freehand with 4 lines of 12 Khom (ancient Thai) characters. This makes the Pidta extremely valuable.
All of them were engraved while the clay was still wet. It's free-hand, instantly engraving, called in Thai amuletology as "Jarn Piak".
GREAT PIDTA FOR PEOPLE
Luang Pu Thong created this Pidta with great compassion for people. He blessed them with protection power to guard the wearers from all dangers. And he also blessed the Pidta to bring good fortune, prosperity, and happiness in life to wearers.
On the front of the Pidta, there are three important Khom characters: Ma Aa Uu. It means the Triple Gem- Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangkha.
The first two characters are on the left and right sides of the image's face, and the third character is on the belly. This signifies that the Pidta is made with the power of the Triple Gem. The wearers should take refuge in the Triple Gem and can request wishes upon their desires.
